Love ice cream but wish it was healthy? I have your answer… Try my Healthy & Guilt Free Protein Ice Cream! It is so simple to make and can be as little as two ingredients!
Ingredients – Simple Ingredient Protein Ice Cream
200g Natural Greek Yoghurt / Soya Yoghurt
1-2 scoops Vanilla Protein Powder (or any flavour you have)
1-2 tbs Peanut Butter
1/2 cup Frozen Fruit (Forest Fruit/Strawberries/Raspberries etc)
Handful Almond Flakes (or Pistachio)
Simply mix your yoghurt and protein powder in a suitable food container (for the freezer), once evenly mixed you have made the TWO ingredient Protein Ice Cream, if you are not adding extra ingredients then place in freezer for a few hours until frozen, then enjoy!
If you are adding extra ingredients, follow these steps…
For Peanut Butter, simply drop chunks of Peanut Butter into the mix, gently mix in the peanut butter without losing the chunky bits. Top the mix with Almond Flakes before placing in freezer for a few hours until frozen, then enjoy!
Gently heat frozen fruit in a pan or a cup in the microwave on low heat, watch the fruit does not over heat but warm through enough that juice appears. When fully defrosted add the fruit into the mix and stir gently to achieve swirls. Top the mix with Almond Flakes before placing mix in freezer for a few hours until frozen, then enjoy!
